Thailand AD investigations for HR&CR imports

Sources in the market confirm previously reported possibility of a hot rolled steel import AD investigation by Thailand and the investigation is expected to initiate next week for HR imports from Argentina, Algeria, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan Taiwan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Ukraine, Venezuela. Furthermore Thailand dismissed AD investigation for CR sheet and strip from Argentina for the reason that the total import from the country fell below 3% of the product's total import to Thailand while extending duty for imports of same product from Russia and Kazakhstan. The duty levied is 64.7% for cold rolled sheet and 50.67% for cold rolled strip.
