Ternium, a major shareholder at Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas, has replaced a few candidates for the Usiminas board, the local steelmaker said.

Ternium did not provide a reason for the change of candidates, and a shareholder meeting to vote for the board members is expected on April 25, Usiminas said.

One of the replacements is Ronald Seckelmann for the role of effective member of the board of directors, replacing Ternium’s previous candidate Guilherme Poggiali Almeida. Details about the other replacements were not disclosed.

“Almeida, originally nominated as candidate for the position of effective member of the board of directors, (was nominated) candidate for the position of alternate member of the board of directors,” Ternium explained.
