Tokyo-based Japanese plantmaker Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. (NSENGI) has announced that it has received an order for two coke dry quenching systems from India’s steel giant Tata Steel Ltd. to be installed at its Kalinganagar facility within the scope of the second stage of the expansion plan.

The ordered systems will have the same processing capacity as the No. 1 coke dry quenching system at Kalinganagar , which was also supplied by NSENGI and completed in February 2017.

NSENGI plans to promote its coke dry quenching systems strengthened with environmental and energy-saving technologies in India, where environmental issues are becoming more pressing as a result of rapid economic and industrial growth.
