INOX Air Products to construct two air separation units for Tata Steel in Odisha

INOX Air Products Limited has entered into an agreement with Tata Steel Limited to construct two air separation units (ASU) in eastern state of Odisha entailing total investment of $159 million, according to a statement of INOX on Monday, May 15.

Each of the ASU will have capacity of 1,800 mt per day of oxygen, argon and nitrogen, the statement said.

According to Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOX Air Products, the partnership with Tata Steel marks the company’s largest ever greenfield investment and also the facility with the largest liquid gas manufacturing capacity at a single location of more than 600 mt per day.
