Tangshan Steel's January finished steel output close to 1 million mt

In January 2007, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Steel Co. Ltd. (excluding Xuanhua Steel and Chengde Steel) recorded a monthly output of 1.0155 million mt for iron, 1.1061 million mt for steel, and 985,500 mt for finished steel, up 18.87 percent, 22.65 percent, and 29.35 percent respectively year on year. The mill's iron production for January broke its all-time historical monthly record. In addition, Tangshan Steel's sales revenues for January totaled RMB 3.917 billion ($505 million), up RMB 1.741 billion ($225 million) compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, profits reached RMB 208 million ($27 million), up RMB 203 million ($26 million).
