Taishan Steel eyes increased capacity at stainless steel park in Shandong

Shandong Province-based Chinese steel producer Taishan Steel Group has announced that by 2013 its stainless steel industrial park located in Laiwu, Shandong is expected to have an annual production capacity of 800,000 mt of stainless steel products and an annual processing capacity of 400,000 mt.

In addition, Taishan Steel stated that by 2016 the stainless steel industrial park in Laiwu is expected to have an annual processing capacity of 1.5 million mt. By then, the yearly output value of the park is expected to exceed RMB 100 billion ($15.87 billion), becoming the largest stainless steel industrial park north of the Yangtze River with an integrated production chain.
