Stelco to sell off wire producer Stelfil Ltee

According to the statement released by Hamilton-based steel producer Stelco Inc, the company is selling off its subsidiary Stelfil Ltee under scope of restructuring program. Montreal-based Stelfil Ltee produces wire and wire products and is wholly owned by Stelco. By selling off Stelfil, Stelco will focus on its integrated steel business, producing high-quality products for value-added markets. In order to focus on its core business, Stelco will sell or close its other businesses.
