One of the largest Russian steel suppliers, Steel Industrial Company (SPK), is planning to enter the Indian steel supply market by constructing a new steel service center in Delhi.

SPK is currently negotiating with a number of companies for the establishment of a joint venture in the country.

The new steel service center is planned to have an initial steel processing capacity of 30,000 metric tons per year.

SPK has a total processing capacity of 1.3 million metric tons of steel and aims to increase this figure to 2.5 million metric tons of steel by 2015.
