Spain’s Megasa acquires French steel supplier, expanding presence in Europe

Spain-based long steel producer Megasa has acquired French steel supplier Societé Rouennaise de Déroulage (SRD), according to media reports. Megasa will be able to diversify and expand its presence in Europe and to offer its entire range of products from SRD with the acquisition.

The price of the transaction, which was concluded at the end of February, was not disclosed.

SRD, located on the banks of the Seine, has its own port area that allows ships with loads of up to 10,000 mt to dock.
