In 2011, Sichuan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Southwest Stainless Steel Co. achieved its targeted annual output of 600,000 mt of stainless steel and recorded a sales revenue for the year of RMB 12 billion ($1.9 billion), according to local newspaper Yueshan Daily.
Southwest Stainless Steel's 1,450 mm hot rolling stainless strip production line, the first such production line in China, has an annual output capacity of 800,000 mt.
