Southern Kuzbass Coal installs wagon tipper

Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, a subsidiary of the Russian mining and steel producing group Mechel, has announced the completion installation of a wagon tipper. The wagon tipper of rotor-type VRS-134 with productivity up to 10,000 mt per day is used for unloading coal from railway cars and was produced by Dneprotyazhmash. The total cost of the equipment was about $1.4 million.

The wagon tipper will ensure continuous unloading of coal from railcars coming from opencast the Olzherassky and Krasnogorsky mines and the New-Olzherasskaya underground mine. This will ensure stable operation of the concentrating plant, adherence to standard times for unloading of raw coal, and cutting of production costs.
