The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that its subsidiary Sinarsky Pipe Plant (SinTZ) is nearing the completion of the first stage of the construction of its new line for the application of anti-corrosion coatings for pipes at its pipe rolling workshop No. 2.

The new line, for which German firm Venjakob is supplying the basic equipment, will allow SinTZ to manufacture products in line with the requirements of international standards, including API 5CT pipes of PSL1 and PSL2 levels. Due to the anti-corrosion coating, the pipes will be able to maintain their properties intact during packing, transportation and extended storage.

The new line is scheduled to become operational in 2009, and forms part of TMK's strategic investment program.
