Chinese steelmaker Shougang Group has stated that in the first 11 months of 2011 it sold 4.18 million mt of cold rolled (CR) steel products, increasing by 44 percent as compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the January-November period of last year, cold rolled electro-galvanized steel for application in household appliances accounted for 34.6 percent of all Shougang Group's CR product sales, up by 2.5 percentage points year on year.
Meanwhile, it is expected that sales of steel sheet used in household appliances and special steel plates of Shougang Jingtang and Shougang Cold Rolled Sheet Steel Co. will reach 1.5 million mt in 2011, exceeding the original target for the whole year by 440,000 mt.
