Shanghai Huchang is to be designed by Danieli

According to latest news in the market, Shanghai Huchang Special Steel Corp. has reached an agreement with Danieli Morgärdshammar to design a new bar mill, which will process annually 450'000 mt of specialty alloy steel and will supply technology and new equipment to the plant. Moreover, Danieli will replace the present plant with a high-capacity mill which will produce high quality large size alloy steel bars ranging between 20-90mm dia. The new plant will commence operations in late 2004.
