Major Chinese steel producer Shagang Group has announced that up to mid-December its total exports of rolled steel products in 2011 exceeded 2 million mt, equal to $1.58 billion in value, rising by 3.3 percent and 26 percent respectively compared to the same period of 2010.
In 2011, Shagang developed 51 new high value-added steel products, including rod, hot rolled plate, wide and thick plate, silicon steel, and line pipe.
