Russia’s Tulachermet, a leading pig iron producer and exporter owned by Russia-based mining and metallurgical company Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), has announced that it achieved a new record monthly pig iron output in June this year, posting a record output for the second consecutive month.

Accordingly, in June Tulachermet produced 234,600 mt of pig iron, exceeding the previous record achieved in May by almost 5,000 mt. This was the result of the uninterrupted production operations of the company’s two blast furnaces (BF), in particular, BF No. 3 after the successful overhaul in March-April, the company states.

Currently, Tulachermet is advancing in carrying out several investment projects that will enable the company to increase production efficiency further. In particular, the company mulls the reconstruction of BF No. 1 and construction of a new air separation unit.
