Russia’s stainless steel imports up 22.1 percent in June

Russian imports of stainless steel products in June this year increased by 22.1 percent month on month to 21,092 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, in June imports of stainless flat steel products increased by 34.7 percent, imports of stainless steel wire rose by 41.1 percent, imports of electric-welded stainless steel pipes moved up by 8.1 percent and imports of pipe fittings increased by 24.1 percent, all month on month basis.

Russia's imports of stainless long steel products in June went down by 5.4 percent, imports of stainless seamless pipes decreased by 25.9 percent, and imports of stainless steel billets fell by 95.1 percent, all compared to the previous month.
