Russia’s OMK maintains No. 1 position among European LD pipe producers

Russian steel and pipe producer OMK has announced that it has maintained its leading position among the European producers of large diameter pipes (LD) for trunk oil and gas pipelines, with the capacity of its subsidiary Vyksa Steel Works amounting to two million mt of LD pipes per year.

Accordingly, in recent years OMK has invested more than $4 billion in the construction of new production capacities and in the upgrading of existing capacities, which has allowed it to achieve its leading position in the segment.
