Russia’s Kuzbassrazrezugol issues Jan output results

Russian coal mining company Kuzbassrazrezugol has issued its operational results for the first month of 2010.

Accordingly, in January 2010, Kuzbassrazrezugol fulfilled its production plan for the month at the rate of 100.5 percent, producing 3.734 million of coal - down 3.5 percent month on month, including 298,000 mt of coking coal - up about 53 percent month on month. In January 2009, the company had produced 3.359 million mt of coal, including 107,000 mt of coking coal.

Meanwhile, Kuzbassrazrezugol's coal deliveries in the first month of this year amounted to 3.67 million mt, including 255,800 mt of coking coal - up 64.3 percent year on year, while its exports of coal amounted to 1.97 million mt, which is more than half of its total deliveries.
