Russia’s Kuzbassrazrezugol announces 2009 operational results

Russian coal mining company Kuzbassrazrezugol has issued its operational results for December and for 2009.

Accordingly, in December 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol fulfilled its production plan for the month at the rate of 100.6 percent, producing about 3.87 million of coal, including 195,000 mt of coking coal.

Meanwhile, in 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol's coal output amounted to about 46.1 million mt - down eight percent year on year, including about 2.7 million mt of coking coal - down 42 percent year on year.

In 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol's deliveries of coking coal amounted to about 2.75 million mt - down 35 percent year on year.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Kuzbassrazrezugol increased its production plan for 2010 targeting an output of 49 million metric tons, following the recovery of demand for its products.
