The Russian Federal Tariff Service (FTS) has decided to reduce the exclusive tariffs for export and import railway transportations of coking coal and coke on a number of ways.

In particular, FTS has decided to maintain the absolute rate of the tariff for the coking coal shipment for 2010 almost at the level of 2009, with the coefficient of the exclusive tariff for the coking coal export transportations from Russia's Western Siberian railway stations being decreased to 1.05 from the previous level of 1.15, and with the coefficient level for coking coal import transportations to Russia via railway border transfer stations being reduced from 1.22 to 1.12.

Similar decisions have been taken with regard to railway transportations of coke via Russia's border transfer stations, with the 2010 ratio of 1.15 instead of 1.248 for exports, and of 1.22 instead of 1.333 for imports of coke.

The exclusive tariffs were established until December 31, 2010.
