Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up 13.8 percent in Jan-Oct

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-October period of the current year Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 13.8 percent year on year to 32.979 million mt, including 3.4 million mt of pig iron, up four percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-October this year was $19.26 billion, up 5.9 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, in the given period Russia registered a 11.3 percent increase year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 5.365 million mt, with a total value of $5.250 billion.
