Russia's coal production expected to rise five percent by 2015

According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation (Economy Ministry of Russia), in 2015 Russia's coal production will rise by 4.9 percent compared to 2011 to 350 million mt, while its coal exports will increase by 10.1 percent compared to the same year, rising to 122 million mt.
 
Also, according to the ministry's forecast, imports of coal are expected to total 28 million mt in 2015, up 11 percent compared to 2011 levels.
