Russian steelmaker Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works plans to double its production capacity by 2014. The mill intends to modernize the working equipment at its electrosmelting mill No. 1, which produces 80 percent of the total commercial output of the company without suspension of production.

Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works plans to complete the reconstruction work by the end of 2013. In 2014, when all works have been completed, Ashinskiy will be able to reroll its entire output of slab into high value-added finished products.
