Russian semi-finished steel exports down 13.7 percent in Jan-Oct

In the January-October period of the current year, Russian exports of semi-finished steel products decreased by 13.7 percent year on year to 10.77 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In October alone, Russian exports of semi-finished steel products increased by 20.9 percent compared to September, to 1.16 million mt.

As previously reported, in January-September this year Russia had exported 9.61 million mt of semi-finished steel products, down 15.3 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
