Russian Railways’ ferrous metal shipments up 2.2% in Jan-Nov

In the January-November period of this year, ferrous metal shipment volumes by Russian railway monopoly Russian Railways (RZD) increased by 2.2 percent year on year to 65.4 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

In November this year, ferrous metal shipment volumes by RZD went up by 8.9 percent year on year to 6.1 million mt.

In particular, in November this year export shipments increased by 4.2 percent, while shipments to the domestic market moved down by 8.8 percent, both on month-on month basis.
