In the first eleven months of 2007, Russia registered a 2.6 percent increase in its crude steel production year on year to 60.4 million metric tons.
In addition, during the period in question, Russia produced 47.1 million metric tons of semi-finished products - up 6.6 percent, 30.8 million metric tons of long products - up 2.6 percent, and 23.1 million metric tons of flat rolled products - up 2.5 percent, all compared to the corresponding period of last year. The above flat rolled production figure includes 7.6 million metric tons of cold rolled and 16.3 million metric tons of hot rolled, down 4.1 percent and up six percent respectively year on year.
