Russia may cancel import duties on tin ore, concentrates

Russian Customs announced that the governmental commission on protective measures in foreign trade and customs-tariff policy recommended that the government cancel the import duty on tin ores and concentrates. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Moscow, early this year, lifted the 5 percent import duty on tin ore and concentrates for a nine-month period in order to increase production of metal in the domestic market. The Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MERT) announced that the commission's recommendation would be submitted to the government.
