Russia issues production results for 2014

In 2014, Russia registered a 2.2 percent rise in its crude steel output to 70.3 million mt, a 2.9 percent rise in its pig iron output to 51.4 million mt and a 3.4 percent increase in its rolled steel output to 61.2 million mt, all year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In the given year, Russia saw a 13.6 percent increase year on year in its steel pipe production to 11.5 million mt.

In December last year, in Russia crude steel production increased by 3.3 percent, pig iron production moved up by 0.9 percent, rolled steel output went up by 3.3 percent, while steel pipe production increased by 8.2 percent, all year on year.
