Russia increases steel pipe production

In January-April of the current year, Russia produced 3,432 million mt of steel pipes, up 19.9 percent compared to the same period last year. In April alone, Russia's steel pipe production declined by 4.1 percent compared to March.


In January-April, Russia's production of tubing decreased by 1.4 percent year on year, However, production of casing increased by 14.5 percent, output of drill pipes went up by 26.8 percent, production of electric-welded large diameter pipes surged by 21.3 percent, output of seamless pipes increased by 13.1 percent, production of electric-welded pipes (excluding LD pipes) rose by 25.8 percent, while production of welded pipes increased by 8.3 percent - all on year-on-year basis.
