Riva Group’s sales revenue up 34 percent in 2010

According to the financial report for 2010 issued by Riva Fire, the parent company of Italian steelmaker Riva Group, last year saw an improvement in the financial performance of Riva Group, which ranks 17th in the world in terms of crude steel output.

In line with the recovery in the global iron and steel industry, in 2010 Riva Group increased its sales revenue by 34 percent year on year to €7.79 billion, while EBTDA recovered to positive figures, soaring from minus €606.1 million to €66.8 million. Meanwhile, Riva Group's net balance did not avoid the red zone, although the net loss shrunk from €547.7 million in 2009 to €66.3 million in 2010.
