Report on accident at Kremikovtzi released

According to news from the industry, the Main Labor Inspectorate (MLI) concluded its investigation initiated over the fatal accident that took place on January 10 at Bulgarian major steel producer Kremikovtzi. The report recently released by the MLI, claims that the repair crew, production department of the blast furnace and rescue team were primarily responsible for the accident due to the uncoordination among each other. Additionally, deviation from safety regulations in case of emergency also worsened the damage caused by the accident. It is also reported that members of Kremikovtzi board and the firm responsible for the safety, Faya Arm, will return fines ranging between Leva 250-1000 ($161-643).
