Red October issues Jan-Apr production results

Russia's Volgograd-based Red October Steel Works has released its production results for the first four months of 2008.

Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded a 17 percent increase year on year in its crude steel production to 253,187 mt, and also a nine percent rise in its finished steel production to 174,863 mt.

Moreover, the producer's sales volume in January-April 2008 rose three percent year on year to 176,180 mt.
