President and CEO to leave TMK IPSCO at end of this month

Energy pipe producer TMK IPSCO announced this week that President and CEO Vicki Avril has decided to leave the company, effective September 30, 2013.

Dave Mitch will be appointed President and CEO of TMK IPSCO effective October 1. He brings to this position not only 38 years in the steel and steel pipe industry at such companies as Armco, Copperweld, Lone Star Steel and US Steel, but also almost two years as Senior VP and Chief Operations Officer of TMK IPSCO.

"Since 2008, Vicki has played an integral role in establishing TMK IPSCO as the leading company it is today," said TMK IPSCO Chairman Piotr Galitzine. "She has worked tirelessly to ensure that a solid platform has been established for the TMK Group in the United States, and has been a great champion for the company, both externally and within the group.
