Peruvian iron ore output rises 1.8 percent in 2015

Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, rose by 41 percent year on year in December last year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
 
Shougang produced 477,582 mt of the commodity in December, up from 339,197 mt in the same month of 2014.
 
In 2015, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 7.32 million mt, up 1.8 percent year on year.
