Passenger car sales in Turkey down 17.74 percent in Jan-Feb

In the first two months this year, the Turkish domestic passenger car market narrowed by 17.74 percent year on year, with sales falling to 51,535 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In February this year, domestic sales of passenger cars totaled 27,167 units, down 26.2 percent compared to February 2013 and up 11.5 percent month on month.
 
In the first two months of the current year, sales of light commercial vehicles in Turkey declined by 23.72 percent year on year to 16,156 units. In February, sales of light commercial vehicles totaled 7,854 units, falling 31.66 percent year on year and down 5.40 percent compared to January.
