Northwest Pipe receives $9.5 million pipe supply order

Portland, Oregon-based Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) has announced the receipt of a pipe supply order for South-North Intertie Pipeline, owned by Antelope Valley - East Kern Water Agency (AVEK).

Under the scope of the contract, valued at approximately $9.5 million, Northwest Pipe is to supply about 81,000 feet (24,689 m) of 48 inch (1.22 m) in diameter welded steel pipe and custom engineered fittings by S.J. Louis Construction of Mansfield, Texas.  The pipes will be produced at Northwest Pipe's California-based facility Adelanto, with shipment scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2009, and to be completed by the end of the year.
