Portland, Oregon-based Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) has announced the receipt of a pipe supply order for the Prairie Waters Project for the City of Aurora, Colorado.
Under the scope of the contract with Garney Construction of Kansas City, Northwest Pipe is to supply about 75,000 feet (22,860 m) of 60" (1.524 m) and 17,000 feet (5,182 m) of 30" (0.762 m) steel pipe valued at approximately $17 million for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system. The pipes will be produced at Northwest Pipe's division, with shipment scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2009.
The Prairie Waters Project is designed to provide a reliable supply of high quality water to the City of Aurora by drawing water from the South Platte River through collector wells.
