Oregon-based Northwest Pipe Company (NWPX) has announced the receipt of an order for the supply of energy products from an unnamed Houston-based distributor serving the oil and gas industry. The value of the order is estimated at $10.6 million.
Approximately two thirds of the order will be put into use as gas gathering pipe in domestic gas fields. The final third will be exported to Ghana, where it will be used in a tank storage farm.
Commenting on the order, Northwest Pipe Company's president and CEO, Brian W. Dunham, said, "This continues our pattern of success in penetrating the energy markets. We intend to build on this as we add our new facility in Houston next year and extend our product lines."
Mr. Dunham added that this order would be produced in Atchison, Kansas and would likely be shipped in the fourth quarter.
