Australian mining company Northern Iron Limited has signed a five-year contract with Indian steelmaker Tata Group's UK-based subsidiary Tata Steel UK Limited to supply iron ore concentrate produced by its Sydvaranger mine in the northern region of Norway.
According to the contract, Northern Iron will ship at least 2.5 million mt of iron ore concentrate to Tata Steel UK within the contract period, and this volume may be increased to 5.5 million mt.
