NLMK’s long steel division ships more than 431,000 mt in Q1

In the first quarter of this year, the long steel division of Russian steelmaker NLMK shipped more than 431,000 mt of steel products, 36 percent higher than in Q1 2010. In particular, in the given period the long steel division shipped 234,000 mt of rebar, 43,000 mt of wire rod, 52,000 mt of metalware, and 52,000 mt of steel billets. 78 percent of shipped products were consumed in the domestic market. The main export destinations for NLMK's long steel division deliveries are CIS countries, Europe and the Middle East.
