In the first half of this year, the long steel division of Russian steelmaker NLMK shipped 907,000 mt of steel products, 40 percent higher than in H1 2010. In particular, in the given period NLMK's long steel division shipped 623,000 mt of rebar, 83,000 mt of wire rod, 123,000 mt of metalware, and 77,000 mt of steel billets.
80 percent of shipped products were consumed in the domestic market. The main export destinations for NLMK's long steel division deliveries are CIS countries, Europe and the Middle East.
