NAS billet caster ready to roll

Danieli's Centro Met operating unit successfully completed the installation of a four-strand billet caster at North American Stainless (NAS) in Carrollton, Kentucky. As reported by SteelOrbis, the first billet was cast at the plant on March 11, 2005. The addition of the billet caster allows NAS to become a fully integrated manufacturer of long products. The billet caster is capable of producing 130 to 200 mm square billets.
