Nanjing Steel hikes ex-factory prices again

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 12, Jiangsu Province-based Nanjing Steel announced further ex-factory price increases for some products. The new price rises come just days after the increases issued for the products on January 9. The details are as follows: 1. Medium plate prices have increased RMB 30/mt($4). As a result, the price of 8mm Q195-275 is RMB 4490/mt($576). 14-22mm Q195-275 now costs RMB 4040/mt($518), 8mm Q345 costs RMB 4690/mt($601), while the price of 14-22mm Q345 has risen to RMB 4240/mt($544). 2. Rebar prices have gone up RMB 20/mt($3). Following the adjustment, the price of 18-25mm diameter HRB335 is now RMB 3330/mt($427), while that of 18-25mm diameter HRB400 is RMB 3480/mt($446). 3. Common carbon round steel has increased RMB 20/mt($3), with the new price of 16-32mm diameter Q195-235 now at RMB 3360/mt($431). All the above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of January 11.
