Mobarakeh Steel Group targets crude steel output of 8.63 million mt in FY 2017-18

Iranian steel producer Mobarakeh Steel Group has announced that in the first 10 months to January 20 of the financial year 2017-18 its total crude steel production, including the production of Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC), Saba Steel Complex and Hormozgan Steel Company, increased by 16 percent year on year to 7.21 million mt.

Accordingly, in the given period, Mobarakeh Steel Company produced 5.42 million mt of crude steel, Saba Steel Complex produced 623,000 mt of crude steel and Hormozgan Steel Company achieved a record crude steel production of 1.16 million mt, increasing by 15 percent, 14 percent and 27 percent, respectively, year on year.

The group is targeting a crude steel output of 8.63 million mt for the 12 months to March 20, 2018.
