MMZ plans to increase crude steel output in February

In the month of February Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) plans to increase its crude steel production by 20.7 percent to 34,350 metric tons, but to decrease its rolled steel products output by four percent to 37,495 metric tons, both compared to January 2009.

During the first ten days of February, MMZ has already produced 18,078 mt of crude steel and 11,862 mt of rolled steel products, and shipped about 10,727 mt of finished steel products.

On February 10, MMZ's reserves of metal charge amounted to 23,944 mt.
