MMK to increase domestic deliveries

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), one of the largest Russian steelmakers, announced that the company plans to raise the volume of deliveries in the Russian domestic market up to 6.5 million tons of steel products in 2006, which is by 27.4 percent higher than the last year level. The representative of MMK proclaimed the rise in the domestic deliveries as the main priority of the enterprise for the year 2006. To achieve the targeted volume, the enterprise will use its dealer network through which it is planned to distribute up to 25-27 percent of total deliveries to the domestic market.
