MMK completes repair of second converter

The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced the early completion of scheduled repair works carried out at its second steel oxygen converter. 

During the scheduled repairs, a caisson of the cooling boiler, as well as the frame of the converter, were replaced.

The converter in question was put back into operation on July 14, three days earlier than planned.
