MMK completes reconstruction of long products workshop

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works of Russia (MMK) put in operation the new small-section-wire mill 170 yesterday, which practically completed the reconstruction of long products workshop of the plant. The chain-like modernization of all phases of production process ’crude steel-long products' at MMK had started in summer of 2005. The modernization of the production process would allow MMK to more pliable vary the type of raw materials used in production.
