Mittal Steel increases its share in Mittal Zenica

Mittal Steel Company N.V., the world's largest steel producer, today announced that it acquired a further 41 percent stake in Mittal Steel Zenica from the Kuwaiti Investment Agency for $98 million. Mittal Steel had acquired a 51 percent stake in the company from the Government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Kuwaiti Investment Agency in August 2004. In line with the recent transaction, Mittal Steel's share in Mittal Steel Zenica has now increased to 92 percent. The remaining 8 percent share is held by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
